Why do we need access control technology?

  • Tags and labels are very small holograms or data storage chips that are fixed to the vehicle and contain a Unique Identification Number or UIN and small amounts of data like the vehicle number, registration name etc.
  • Thus, this data can be easily used to track and monitor vehicles with ease.
  • A reader does the job of reading or storing that data and tracks the movement of that tag which has been fixed to the car/ truck.

Any vehicle of any type can be identified from as far as six metres with the latest RFID technology even while it is moving at about twenty kilometres an hour. There is password verification needed for every entry or exit and thus in highly sensitive scenarios, there is always the fact that only authorised vehicles which pass these tests can enter the compound.
